Job Overview:

We are currently looking to hire an Associate Financial Advisor within the GVA Wealth Management department of Great Valley Advisor Group in our Berwyn, PA, or Doylestown, PA locations. This position will report to the firm’s Sr. Director of Operations and is responsible for assisting specific Financial Advisors with their books of business while growing your own. You will also be responsible for handling the firm’s partial book sales, and orphaned accounts, and developing financial plans in certain circumstances.

Description

The Associate Financial Advisor is a key role within our Wealth Management division and is responsible for delivering financial strategies. The Associate Financial Advisor will work with clients virtually, or in person at one of our 4 Corporate locations. The primary objective of this role is to grow client assets and retain and acquire new clients by being the single point of contact for investment and planning needs. The successful Associate Financial Advisor will recommend investment strategies utilizing GVA’s Asset Management program and present investment choices by analyzing the client’s information including assets, income, debts and other liabilities, cash flow, and tax status.

  • Your primary focus is on GVAs clients and providing a quality experience
  • Your primary goal is to analyze the client’s investment needs
  • In addition to the book of business you will be provided, you will also have the ability to build a book of business
  • Must have attention to detail, be self-motivation, and resourceful
  • Actively participate in opportunities to expand knowledge, influencing, and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

  • Active Series 7, 66 (65 and 63), and life insurance licenses
  • Client Relationship Management is a must
  • Extensive client service experience (virtual and in-person); handling an ongoing book of business
  • Minimum of three-plus years of advisory experience in a client-facing role
  • If you are offered and accept this position, and you do not have the necessary FINRA licenses for the role, then you must acquire the required licenses within the specified period of time.

Hours, Compensation, & Work Schedule

  • Hours per Week: 40
  • Work Schedule: Monday through Friday
  • This position will be a combination of a base salary, commissions, and benefits, but will depend on important factors, such as education, certifications, licenses, and number of years spent in the profession.
