GVA Attends Catchlight’s Growth Day

Great Valley Advisor Group’s Kate Quinn, Business Strategy and Advisor Development, and Phil Regan, Business Development, recently attended Catchlight’s Growth Day at Fidelity headquarters in Boston, MA.

The workshop brought together advisory marketing leaders and their teams to discuss strategies for organic growth. The day featured insightful presentations from Fidelity researchers, collaborative group discussions, and hands-on sessions that sparked idea sharing and actionable strategies.

Key takeaways from the workshop included:

Lead Conversion Strategies: We explored areas to enhance lead conversion processes, including segmentation strategies and the importance of tracking tools to improve efficiency.

Technology Integration: Discussions emphasized optimizing Salesforce usage and integration while implementing data grooming techniques to streamline operations.

Growth-Driven Initiatives: Identified and discussed alternative areas to support growth such as mentorship program, enhancing referral programs, and additional marketing focus on GVA’s three distinct affiliation paths. We also outlined strategies to better define our succession planning and M&A processes.

GVA’s takeaways from this workshop are parallel to our goal of aligning technology, marketing, and strategic initiatives to support both advisor and client growth. It was an incredible opportunity to collaborate, share insights, and expand our vision for the future.

We thank Fidelity and Catchlight for including us; we look forward to future workshops and learning opportunities!

Mike Burke Manager, Advisor Websites & Marketing
After graduating from Penn State University with a B.A. in English, Mike began his career in B2B technology sales, learning how to close deals and, most importantly, developing thick skin. He then took on an operations and management role at a marketing firm, where he recognized a gap in the company’s capabilities and taught himself to design, code, and build websites while handling the day-to-day company operations and managing client relationships. Discovering his passion for design and technology and building up a web design and UX work portfolio, Mike spent the next six years at Comcast, fulfilling various roles on the digital and e-commerce teams, from UX designer to front-end developer to his final role as a Senior Art Director. After transitioning into management consulting, he was on the road for three years, working with enterprise-level companies such as Microsoft, Aon, and Vanguard and expanding his skill set from digital and web to organizational strategy and management.
