What Is Basecamp?

A basecamp is defined as a place providing supplies, shelter, communications, and an opportunity to prepare for the journey ahead. Great Valley Advisor Group Basecamp meetings are monthly expeditions designed to update GVA Advisors on the latest developments in the GVA network, highlight guest speakers, share new experiences and best practices, and discuss opportunities for GVA and the GVA Network to support growth for all GVA Advisors.

Meeting Structure 

The initial 15 minutes of the meetings are more informal, introducing guests and catching up. We then feature a guest speaker, who brings expertise in a relevant topic that will help all our advisors grow and learn. Past speakers have highlighted: 

• New advisor network opportunities 
• Business coaching and practice management 
• Salesforce solutions demonstrations 

After hearing from our featured presenter, we open the meeting up to a discussion, promoting a collaborative, shared learning environment where success stories, best practices, and questions can be discussed for the good of the larger group. We also use this time to highlight new tools and integrations from the GVA technology stack, enabling our advisors to uncover new solutions for their firms. 

The Purpose of GVA Basecamp 

GVA is dedicated to continuing to engage and collaborate with our advisors. By creating bi-monthly forums for our advisors to share, learn, and work together, we help all GVA Advisor Firms who participate in Basecamp stay connected to the larger group, grow their practices, ensure they’re taking advantage of every service that GVA offers its network, and have an opportunity to share and celebrate their success.  

GVA Basecamp is another example of Great Valley Advisor Group’s unwavering commitment to enabling our advisors to work more efficiently, stay on top of industry trends and best practices, increase confidence in their solutions and processes, stay compliant, and above all, focus on their client’s financial goals.  

Recordings, summaries, and enduring materials from all Basecamp meetings are available to all GVA Advisors via The GVA Intranet (GVARIA.com).
